This image of Avalokitesvara carved from natural stone is quite damaged. The remains of foundation stones tell us that there would have been 4 pieces at the time of eye setting (a kind of finishing ceremony). This statue gave the name “Kwanumdang” (place for Avalokitesvara) to the village.
