It is located 700m in front of the Chiljangsa temple, and both
supports of the flagpole are symmetrically installed on a North-South
axis. There are no decorative parts, just a flat apex and four rounded
off corners. Kan is placed at two points, one each at upper and
lower part of a support, to fasten the flagpole.
Rectangular holes are pored to insert the Kans. The lower part of
the Kan is placed at 50cm from the bottom, which is made of steel.
There were a total of 30 steel Kans when the building was first
established, but 16 steel Kans have disappeared leaving 14 Kans
at present. |
