Kyong¡¯angsa Shrine

Location: Tokpong-ri, Yangsong-myon
 

The shrine was erected by the disciples of Soknong O Chinyong to pay tribute to their teacher¡¯s learning and virtue in 1964. Spring service is held on March 10 of the lunar calendar annually. Soknong lived in the reign of King Kojong of the Choson Dynasty and was a disciple of Kanje, a distinguished Confucian scholar of the late 19th century.
The memorial tablets of Soknong, his teacher Kanje and Noju O Huisang are enshrined here. Kyong¡¯angsa Shrine was designated a folk relic in 1988. The letters on the tablet were written by his disciple Wolhon Yi Chinrim.
